Hendersonville is known as the City of Four Seasons --
four distinct seasons without the rigors of northern winters nor the heat of
southern summers. Located on a scenic mountain plateau 2,200 feet above sea
level and cradled between the Great Smoky and the Blue Ridge Mountains we're
protected from weather extremes -- an ideal mountain climate that has earned the
Hendersonville North Carolina area national recognition as one of the best
places to live and retire.
Henderson County NC covers a 375 square-mile area and
has five incorporated
areas:
The City of Hendersonville, The Village of Flat Rock, The Town of Fletcher,
Town of Laurel Park and Mills River (incorporated in
2003). The County tax rate is 51.5 cents per $100 of assessed valuation.

11,893; Fletcher
5,088; Laurel Park 2,127;
Flat Rock
2,798 and Mills River 6,038;
Unincorporated 68,180 for a
total population of
96,124 -- at this time total
population is probably closer to 97,000. As of 1998 local, state and federal retirees are no
longer taxed on their pension income if they meet "vested"
requirements.

Hendersonville is easily accessible by air or by road. The City is located
astride or adjacent to Interstate Highways 26 and 40, and US Highways 25, 64 and
176. The Asheville Regional Airport, located just 10 miles north of
Hendersonville, on I-26, provides a safe and attractive airport for
the traveling public of Western North Carolina.
Robin is based in the Hendersonville area (Henderson County but due to our close proximity to Asheville
(Buncombe County) and Brevard (Transylvania County) Robin is very knowledgeable of and provides
